Veterans Day 2010
One activity of the 69th Pa "Irish Volunteers" is the location of the final resting
places of the men who fought in our regiment during the Civil War and the placing
of grave markers on their graves if no marker or gravestone has been placed prior.
Many, if not most, of the veterans of the 69th never had a stone or marker.
Thus far we have placed scores of markers and conducted dedication services
on these plus many more. Our  ceremony places Irish soil on their resting place,
features a three gun salute and a reading of a brief biography of each soldier.
