Gravesites of the Lads |

Many of the men who fought with the 69th Pa Irish died on the battlefield and are buried in famous places like Gettysburg and Antietam and Cold Harbor. Others died in hospitals and prison camps, often buried in unmarked graves. Many lived through the war and died as proud old men who had served their cause. The 69th Pa today takes special care of the graves of our lads. We locate burial sites and where needed purchase stones to mark their final resting places. On our history trips, we stop to honor the last resting places of the men of the 69th. |
