Jim Thorpe Winterfest
On February 13-14 seventeen hardy members of the 69th Pa "Irish Volunteers" faced the cold and snow and journeyed to Jim Thorpe,Pa for the annual Winterfest. They took with them a collection of wooden rifles to train tourist children in the ways of the Civil War soldier.
The warmth inside was refuge from the winter winds
Sharing the park with an ice sculptor they greeted visitors to the winter event. The Railroad station / Visitor Bureau was the center of 69th activity
