Fort Delaware 2009
On June 13 2009 the 69th Pa was ordered to Fort Delaware on
Pea Patch Island to guard Confederate prisoners taken in the
Wilderness fighting. Our regiment arrived by boat and helped
process and guard prisoners.

Sunday saw hundreds of
children visit Fort Delaware to
participate in guided tours,
exhibits and to be drilled by the
69th Pa "Irish" in marching and
"the manual of arms".
